My love for film started young – my father worked for the first Cathay Cinemas in Singapore. When he transferred to
Malaysia and as soon as I was old enough, I was taken regularly to 2-3 shows per week. Fed on a diet of Asian classics
I began to absorb the medium of visual story telling.

It wasn’t till I got to the UK that I actively pursued the dramatic arts – at Belmont prep school ,I was involved in
several school plays and won a Bronze medal for acting. At Mill Hill public school, I continued my love of drama but
more from a directorial point of view. In my senior years , I won an award for Best Director in the school play
competition for a farce adaptation of Sherlock Holmes with characters based on all the school masters, and in the
following year the grand prize of Best Play, for an adaptation of Jean Anouilh’s ‘Eurydice’.

At university, I firstly concentrated on a more practical career, with a degree in Psychology from UCL then an MBA at
Imperial college before finally deciding to go back to the Arts and then back to my first love of film.

RECENT ACTIVITY
In 2004, attended a HNC in Fine Art course at Kensington and Chelsea college.
A year later in 2005, attended a BA Fine Art Course at Central St Martins specialising in 2D
mixed media. In 2009,decided to pursue love of film by attending the London Film Academy, where primarily as a
writer and producer, graduated with a Merit.

Have completed 2 short film projects since graduating from film school – ‘The Magician’, shot on RED camera and
‘Like Stones in Water’, shot on S16mm film. Currently in pre-production for ’4 Bars’, and ‘Lucid Things’, both feature length projects.
